2014-2015 Installation of Officers “It Takes a Crew”
“It Takes a Crew” to keep things running well at the Newport Harbor Elks Lodge 1767. A new ‘Crew’ of Officers and one new Trustee were installed Tuesday, March 25, and will serve our Lodge from April 1, 2014 through March 31, 2015. Our new Exalted Ruler, Beverly Purdum, has chosen “It Takes a Crew” as her motto, and her Banner as shown in the picture will be hanging above the stage in the upstairs Lodge room.

Rick Blake, Past Senior VP and Master of Ceremonies officiated over the event and Dr. Stan Malkin, Past District Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler, presided over the Installation of Officers. In addition, Newport Harbor Past Exalted Rulers’ assisted with the Installation of Officers.
Curtis Moore, Past Exalted Ruler for 2013-2014, gave his farewell address and with Newport Harbor PERs’ completed the Signing of the Bible. Beverly Purdum, Exalted Ruler for 2014-2015, gave her acceptance speech.
The evening’s events concluded with the introduction of dignitaries, lodge officer’s families, and visiting Lodges. In addition the following awards were given: Lorna Darakjian, Elk of the Year; Citizen of the Year, Karen Johnson Roach; and Officer of the Year, Daniel Roach.
