Elk Year 2024/2025 Elk Of the Month
April 2024 – Martin O’Sullivan
My first selection for Elk of the Month is Martin O’Sullivan. Marty has become a great asset on Sunday ENF Brunch. He is always looking for something to help with and never stops working. Thank you, Marty, for your time as a volunteer. It is always appreciated. Please enjoy the use of the Elk of the month parking space in the back of the lodge for the month of April.
May 2024 – Chuck and Annette Torrez
Chuck and Annette are our Elks of the Month for May. You know them from Trivia, where they try and outsmart you. When they’re not on a cruise, you will also see them on Sunday during Football season, for some reason rooting for the Stealers. Thank you for volunteering and helping our lodge run as smooth as possible.
June 2024 – William Tim Fernandez
Our Elk of the Month for June is William Tim Fernandez. Tim helps out in the kitchen every chance he gets. From cooking Sunday Brunches, Saturday BBQ’s, and especially on the Monday Night guest chef meals and he does it all with pride and a smile. And we can always count on him to help lead and assist when needed. A true model of an Elk and what Elkdom is all about.
July 2024 – Tom Russell
Our Elk of the Month for July is Tom Russell. Tom is always helping other members. You’ll see him helping on Sundays on the omelet station and Saturday BBQ. Thank you, Tom, for all your help. Enjoy your parking spot in the back for the month of July.
August 2024 – Rozie McCarter
Please help me congratulate Rozie McCarter as Elk of the Month for August. Rozie has been volunteering in the kitchen and making things happen on last minute notice. Rozie is a 2 year member and has helped various volunteer teams around the lodge including Sunday Brunch, Steak Night and the Tropical Nights Fundraiser. We are grateful and proud to have your here with us Rozie. Keep up the good work!
September 2024 – Dale Case
Please help me congratulate Dale Case as Elk of the Month for September. Dale has been volunteering in the kitchen on Sundays, making sure the plates are cleaned. The dishwashers are the overlooked heroes of the kitchen. Thank you and we are grateful and proud to have you here with us. Keep up the good work!
October 2024 – Dan Murchison
Dan Murchison is our Elk of the month for October. Dan is a very active member helping in the kitchen on steak night and an outstanding officer of the Yacht Club. Please join me in thanking Dan for all his help volunteering.
November 2024 – Jim Bennett
Our Elk of the Month for November is Jim Bennett. Jim has been involved with cooking your steaks on Thursday for the past 7 years and is one of our members that loves to come to our meetings. If you’re ever at a meeting where we are balloting, he will be the first to check the ballot box. Thank you, Jim, for being involved in the Newport Harbor Elks.
